BRINGING THE POTENTIAL OF SATELLITE SYSTEMS DOWN TO EARTH
Although Aprize Satellite officially began after the turn of the millennium, our principals have been directly engaged in the design, development, construction, launch and operation of low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite data relay systems since 1991.
Our leaders successfully deployed a commercial LEOSat system in 1993. This historic launch proved that our new class of low-cost nanosatellites was capable of accurately and efficiently addressing our targeted market niche - container tracking (via truck trailer, train railcar and ship cargo) using inexpensive user terminals with omni-directional antennas.
We successfully developed the technology and components that led to the
launch of two commercial satellites into space in September, 2004. These operational satellites will soon be
joined by two additional satellites scheduled for launch in the last quarter of 2008.
Finding these kinds of lower-cost, highly-effective solutions to the problems that are hampering the satellite tracking and monitoring arena has enabled Aprize to take the lead in putting the technology to work.
We've paved the way. And now, from here on out … the sky's the limit.
